The Sonoran Spa at the Westward Look Resort is a great option for both sexes. The overall experience is sensual and warm enough for the woman, while offering grounded, practical treatments many men look for. Tucson automatically puts me in the mood for a destination spa … and with the Sonoran Spa as an option, getting a high quality resort spa experience is even more attainable.
When I arrive at the spa, I am immediately transformed in the warm and intimate ambiance. Later, I am even more impressed with the personal and friendly level of service.
Treatments are offered in 30, 60 or 90-minute slots, making it reasonable to sample a few offerings. The night I arrive, I try a Desert Stone Massage, which was the perfect way to fast-forward me into weekend warrior style relaxation mode. The next day, I try the Bath in a Boot Foot Refresher. For this treatment, I first soak my feet in a galvanized tub of warm water and then relax as the therapist goes though a ritual of scrubbing, sloughing and rubbing. I feel cared for, I feel whole, I feel wonderful. Finally, I go for a Pevonia Refresher Facial, ending my weekend spa retreat with smooth as a baby’s bottom skin.
